Indian Pride Award- Ryan Baker

The Indian Pride Award is awarded to one varsity player every year who represents the core values of the program- Team, Committment, Character, Discipline.

Ryan was not the biggest or fastest player on the field, but his competive drive was second to none. He sets a great example in the classroom and on campus. During his career at Ripon High he played  WR, RB, DB, Kicker, Punter, and returned both punts and kickoffs. He led the team in nearly every offensive category. On top of that, he is one of the most kind and authentic kids on campus.

Ryan Baker will continue football career at Cal Lutheran

For the past two years RHS fans have watched Ryan Baker make plays all over the football field. He was Mr. Everything for the Indians. Whether running the ball, catching it, returning kicks, making interceptions, or kicking field goals on thing was certain, he was definitely a big time play maker.
Congratulations Ryan and good luck in the next phase of your journey.

                    Sportsmanship

The desire to win is what drives us. However, at the end of the day, we are all competitors. It is important to remember that opponents should be respected. This is a tenant of VICTORY WITH HONOR. Recently two college softball teams were involved in a competitive game. The winner had an inside track to a playoff birth. What happened was one of the best examples of sportsmanship I have ever heard of. This story epitomizes what competitive athletics are truly about- Read the story
